Color Palettes

If you’re in the mood to decorate or re-decorate and need to start with a color palette, check out this site I’m obsessed with – Design Seeds at http://design-seeds.com/index.php/search

They start with an image and extract five colors from it. I just purchased a grey sectional and I’m trying to figure out what other colors I want to pair with it. She Fancies all of the inspiration from this site.

Marni comes to H&M

Marni for H&M hits stores on March 8, 2012 and already everyone is a buzz about the collection. You’ll be able to find the iconic geometric, patterned and staple necklaces all for under $129. What’s great about the line is that it is affordable compared to the regular Marni line sold at Saks or Neiman’s, and She Fancies that.

Marni’s collection for H&M is all about freedom and experimentation, Marni prints and colours intended to mix and match together in a playful way. Everything goes with everything, making African prints the perfect companion to Bauhaus modernity, and sporty silhouettes sitting with more feminine shapes. The collection also includes a full range of shoes, bags and charming accessories to create a total Marni look at H&M. Meanwhile for men, Marni offers a fresh take on menswear staples, with a subtle use of print and a softened use of colour.

What do you think about the Marni for H&M collection? Will you be one of the first in line to score a piece from the collection? Let me know!

GaugeNYC Initial Necklace

I’m looking for a gold necklace that’s simple, unique and not obnoxiously large. I’m already set on my silver necklace but now I need a gold one. I came across GaugeNYC while on neimanmarcus.com because I’m just not ready to splurge on a $264 Jennifer Zeuner one yet.

The initial necklace by GaugeNYC is crafted of gleaming yellow gold that spells out your initial. It’s simple but makes great impact, perfect for becoming your signature bauble.

She Fancies unique and fun jewelry, so what do you think – buy or pass?

Do you Pin?

It seems as though everyone is a buzz about Pinterest. Have you heard of it? Do you know what it is?

What is Pinterest?
Pinterest is a virtual pinboard. Pinterest allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. You can browse pinboards created by other people to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.

What is a Pin?
A pin is an image added to Pinterest. A pin can be added from a website using the Pin It button, or you can upload images from your computer. Each pin added using the Pin It button links back to the site it came from.

How can you use Pinterest?

  1. Make your Pinterest profile a valuable resource that consumers will then want to share with their audiences
  2. Excite fans and encourage them to interact with your pins on your various boards that peak their interests
  3. Aside from consumers interacting with your boards, proactively engage with others by sharing pins and following relevant boards
  4.  Overall, you want to create an engaging experience that leads to [insert mission/goal here]

Below are some pins that I’m following:

I’m not only using it as a tool to learn from people around the world but I have been sharing my own content “Pin” as well. Check out my two pins below.

Missoni Comes to Target

There’s Missoni, M Missoni and now Missoni for Target! If you can’t get enough of the bold, vibrant and jazzy Missoni prints – then head over to your local Target store beginning September 13 for the launch of the Missoni for Target line.

Missoni, the iconic knitwear empire recognized as a symbol of Italian luxury, to introduce an affordable, limited-edition collection for fashion and home. Missoni for Target brings a rich heritage of signature prints and patterns to apparel and accessories for women, men, girls and baby, as well as home furnishings. Ranging in price from $2.99 to $599.99, with most items less than $40.

I’m predicting a sell-out line as many of the items are amazing and chic. You will also be able to order some of the items online.

Target’s largest limited-time designer collection to date, Missoni for Target reflects the Missoni values of family, color and quality. Offering a modern, fresh take on the late 1960s, an era during which the Missoni brand flourished into a global force in fashion, the collection features intertwining textures and patterns in a variety of bold colors such as purple, blue, black and coral.

Below is the women’s collections but I’ll be sharing the latest Missoni for Target collections in the next few days – shoes, handbags, accessories and home. So stay tuned! She Fancies designer collaborations that result in new (and affordable) fashion lines.

Triple Double Oreo Treat

Its double the size and triple the cookie. Kraft has launched the Triple Double Oreo Cookie.  She Fancies a delicious treat or as some say, “reward.”

The triple double oreo cookie is available nationwide at grocery stores starting this week with a suggested retail price of $4.19 per package. One serving (1 cookie) is 100 calories and a total of 4.5g of fat.

What do you think of the new cookie? Will you buy it?

Loaf around this fall

As designers share their top fall staple items, there is one item that continues to make an appearance. Now not everyone can pull off the trend so if it looks like you’re trying too hard to be trendy, than just forget it. She Fancies effortless chic looks.

I’m talking about the Loafer – flat or high heeled.

J.Crew has various styles that are reasonably priced.

1) Bielle Patent Loafer – $228

2) Biella high-heel loafers – $265

3) Paddy high-heel loafers – $265

What do you think of the loafer trend?
